When Playback Pauses: A Calm Troubleshooting Checklist

Begin with what is visible on screen. Different symptoms need different questions.

Describe the symptom before changing settings

Does the picture freeze while sound continues, do both stop, or does the player close? Is there a loading symbol or a written error? Record the wording and time. A precise observation gives support a better starting point than simply saying that everything is slow.

Check the current session

Count other active streams against the selected connection allowance. Close playback you are no longer using. Then reopen the player normally and note whether the problem returns. Before installing updates or clearing data, check the publisher’s instructions and know how you will recover any access details.

Compare one set of conditions

Try the same device and player while unrelated downloads are paused, or compare a supported cable connection with Wi-Fi. Avoid changing router, app and device settings together. Keep a note of the result, including when nothing changes. Our network guide explains a useful comparison.

Send evidence that narrows the problem

Use support with the model, app version, timing and any exact message. State what you already checked. Never send a mailbox password, private playlist address or full payment details. If the player reports a specific error, use the error-message guide to describe it.
