Check where the sound should go
Confirm the television or device volume and mute status. If you normally use a soundbar, receiver or headphones, check whether that output is selected and connected. A device may still be sending sound to an accessory used earlier. Use the manufacturer’s instructions when the output names are unfamiliar.
Compare a known working source
Try an ordinary source you already know works on the same device and audio equipment. Note whether sound is missing there too. This comparison helps describe the scope of the issue; it does not by itself prove that the player, service or hardware is faulty. Keep the physical connections unchanged while comparing.
Review the player controls carefully
Look for a mute control or selectable audio track in the intended player. Features and labels vary, so use its official help. Do not change several advanced audio options at once or assume a format is supported by every device. Record any change and restore the previous setting if it does not help.
Report the complete audio path
Tell support the player device, app version and whether sound normally comes from TV speakers, headphones or external equipment. Include what happened with the comparison source and any message displayed. If picture also freezes, add the observations from the playback checklist.
